THE HAGS: A Slide Show

The Hags were played by perhaps a dozen different women, both in California and in Mexico. Some were professional actresses—-Laura and Brenda, for instance—and others, like Venezia, had never acted before. Or can one say that a woman has never acted before? Perhaps all of life is an act, and women are particularly adept at it. In any case the actresses were all delightful, adventurous, and beautiful. They dug deeply into themselves and evoked that grand and mysterious woman I call the Hag. I am grateful to all of them. Here are a few quick looks at these marvelous creatures.

The HAG is both a movie and a novel by D.N. Stuefloten.
The movie is an hour and fifteen minutes long, and shot mostly in Mexico.
The novel is 234 pages and has 161 black and white images.
The movie can be seen here, and the novel—both as a paperback and an e-book—is available at Amazon.com.
